Combining medical history, laboratory, and imaging examinations, once a diagnosis of uterine fibroids is confirmed, and after a successful preoperative Haifu positioning, USgHIFUa treatment can be administered to all fibroids. Regarding the size of uterine fibroids, any fibroid that is visible on airborne ultrasound (1 cm or larger) and has a secure acoustic pathway can be treated. For some exceptionally large fibroids (10 cm or more), treatment can be divided into multiple sessions. USgHIFUa can treat fibroids located between the muscle layers, submucosally, and subserosally, and can handle multiple fibroids. Clinically, over 80% of uterine fibroid patients are typically suitable candidates for USgHIFUa treatment.
